I am so excited about my new Summer Collection and the inspiration behind the line. This summer I was inspired by the classic pin stripes and the all American summer styles of the 1950’s Nantucket. While I did not grow up in the 1950’s, we would often go to Maine to visit my grandmother and and all of the local little fisherman towns.
The Marlee Dress reminds me of those breezy summer days walking the Nantucket boardwalk as a child. The colorfully embroidered collar adds joy to this pin striped smocked dress. She is perfect for any summer day activity.
The Memphis Dress is perfect for an evening outdoor cocktail event. She has a wrapped look about her even though there is a side zipper and slip to keep everything covered up. Her lightweight material makes her perfect for the hotter months. I am normally not a ruffle or lace gall but I just love the festive ruffles throughout the chest area.
The Fiona Dress reminds me of the gardens around Nantucket, vibrant colonial florals with slight tropical hues. She can be worn off or on the shoulders and also has a wrapped style about her.
The Maci Dress reminds me of the summer carnivals on the beach. I just love her classic style. She is feminine, yet mature. The horizontal pinstripes through the chest help to add curve and size through the breast area while the vertical pinstripes through the skirt add length!
