The Reserve Bed and Breakfast

As you all know, Hot Springs, Arkansas is our little secret getaway, just a short 3.5 hours outside of Memphis. Mr. Greg and I have just loved making memories in this quaint little historic town in the mountains. This past weekend, We got to stay in Hot Spring’s newest bed and breakfast, The Reserve, and wow! We are officially spoiled by The Reserve and never want to stay anywhere else. In this post, I will share our amazing experience with this historic bed and breakfast.

The Historical Mansion

The home’s grandeur is apparent from the moment you pull into the private grounds with a beautiful equestrian fountain, moon lit gardens, and a grand promenade that wraps around the front of this historical mansion. The Reserve, the former private W.C. Brown mansion and national landmark, has been fully restored and converted into a bed and breakfast. The establishment has 12 guest room accommodations with 6 rooms inside the house and the remaining suites in the carriage house and in a beautiful Legacy apartment behind the main building.

The Rooms

The traditional furniture mixed with a modern décor palette is the perfect touch of the grand era of which this beautiful mansion was constructed and a swanky boutique of the modern age. The bed was an absolutely dream! We got the best sleep of our lives in the super soft sheets and cloud like mattress. The bathroom is equally as pleasing with its black and white floral tones and modern marble flair.

The Amenities

The Reserve was unlike any other place we have stayed in Hot Springs as it truly felt like home. You can enjoy a night cap while playing chess in the parlor, listen to music from the grand piano, or check out some of the historical reads in the grand room. There are so many beautifully themed rooms tucked throughout the home giving it an uniquely intimate experience.

The Service

The eats at The Reserve is truly 5 star! They gather much of their ingredients from the gardens on the grounds and the food is prepared by some of Hot Springs most notable chefs. Every morning we raved over our 2 course breakfast composed of a hearty dish, followed by a sweet homemade pastry. In the evening, we would enjoy freshly prepared hors d’oeuvres and wine during reception hour. While much of the wall space throughout the mansion is covered in ornate wallpaper, the dining room is unique in that the walls are covered in a mural that was painted by a local artist to match the original wallpaper that once covered the walls.

Our stay at The Reserve was truly magical, a step back into a century past and the beauty of historical Hot Springs. Click here to book your stay at The Reserve Hot Springs and be sure to come on back to this blog post and leave your review in the comments!
