So it’s official! I am back in my second year as a PhD student and now that we are back in the physical classroom, I am making a point to look presentable every day in class. I tell ya, one year of COVID can really make you want to brush up your fashion when getting back in the real world.
First day back to class, this is my professional student look!
Everyday Blazer
I think every professional should have a great everyday blazer, or 5 in their closet. Most people would argue that blazers are for the winter but I love them year round because you never know when the professor is going to crank up the air conditioner in the classroom! Also, blazers can be worn to really dress up jeans for a professional look!

Simple Statement Jewelry
I never really go overboard with my jewelry. I tend to wear the same necklace, gold rings, and earring studs everyday. A great way to go a little extra with your everyday pieces is to dress it up with layering. I love to add a dainty layered necklace and some fun gold hoops when going the extra mile.

Loafers for the Win
I have been trying to resist the urge to wear tennis shoes like I did in my undergrad. This summer, I stocked up on some great textured and fun colored loafers for getting around on campus.

The Winning Watch
Every gal who means business needs a boss watch. I love my Apple Watch for running errands or working out, but when I want to be taken seriously, I break out my boyfriend watch collection. On the first day I decided on a gold boyfriend watch for a little arm candy.

So I kept it simple for day one. Next week, I will style one of my favorite everyday dresses. I know, I know, a dress? YES! Not all dresses have to be fancy, and since becoming a mom, I have gotten the comfy jersey down to an art!
