I have worn acrylic nails for years but with quarantine, I am not able to get my fill. My nails had grown out, broken, and looked the worst the every have. That is when I decided to break out my old manicure kit and get to work.

What you will need:
Nail clippers
Nail file
Filing and Buffing Block
Cuticle Cutters
Cuticle Oil
Surya Brasil Base Polish
Surya Brasil Nail Polish
Surya Brasil Top Coat
Cuticle Pusher

Remove the polish and any acrylic from your nails and clip them down.

Then apply a cuticle oil on your cuticles to soften them up a bit.

While the cuticle oil soaks in, file your nails into the shape that you prefer.

With the cuticle pusher, push back your cuticles so that they are not over grown up on your nails.

If you have excess cuticles and would like to trim them, you can use the cuticle trimmer to trim those cuticles down.Be very careful as you can clip your live skin and cause bleeding or infection.

With the filing and buffing block you can smooth the top of your nails to remove ridges that the acrylic nails left behind. This also helps the nail polish to glide on smoother and the nail to look healthier.

Now it’s time to paint. Apply your base coat, nail polish color, and then a top coat. The Surya Brasil Base Coat, Extra Shine Top Coat and an Oil Dryer provide a strong foundation, long lasting color and extra protection for your nails.

I just love Surya Brasil Exotic Animals Nail Polish Collection! This line features a range of 12 polishes in unique colors that will leave your nails feeling beautiful and healthy. Certified cruelty-free, vegan and 7-free, this collection is named after all of the exotic animals from around the world and inspired by nature’s vibrant colors. I am wearing the Amazon River polish color here.
