Fashion Inspiration by Sophorn

I love the opportunity to learn from other fashionistas. As a stylist it is easy to get stuck in my own style closet, forgetting to open the door and explore the world for unique inspiration and artistic fashion ideas. I spent the day with Sophorn during this shoot and quickly soaked in her style aura. In this post we will learn a little more about Sophorn’s style and observe my interpretation  of Sophorn’s Boho Sophistication.

I normally go neutral or all black with my work attire but dresses are the easiest pieces to try out bright color and patterns. Thanks to Alexandra, who suggested this dress, I was able to be a little more expressive with my style.

White jeans are possible the most versatile piece in my wardrobe. As I’m venturing out of totally black pieces, I naturally fall into deep hues like navy which contrasts so well with the white. The loose surplice style of the top is also a contrast that strikes a balance with the fitted jeans.

Local designer Tara Skelley wore a similar outfit sans the cover up and looked incredibly chic. I was completely inspired. The silky fabric of the top and pants makes it a relaxed summer outfit, great for lounging at home or for a day out when paired with wedge sandals.
