Last week was Memphis Fashion Week and it was a whirl-wind of amazingly fun events!Check out the recap and be sure to mark your calendars around the first or second week of April next year to join in on the fun!
Friday morning I got to chat with Rachel Roy at a special featured designer luncheon hosted by the Country Club of Memphis. I had a blast getting to know all of the out of town bloggers and learning more about how Rachel has built her empire.

Before the first show, we toured the Rock and Soul Museum and the Guesthouse at Graceland. Did you know the Guesthouse at Graceland is the largest hotel project in the state of Tennessee in the last 90 years?

Friday night was the first fashion show headlining world famous designer, Rachel Roy. All of the bloggers wore Rachel’s Spring line to the show to support and enjoyed the VIP ticket amenities. I would definitely recommend purchasing a VIP pass to fashion week should you decide to go as you will get front row viewing, cocktails and horderves, and a fabulous VIP swag bag. This year the bags had a Brahmin clutch in them!
Another one of my favorite designers is This is Sloan! She showcased last year and this year on Friday night. Her designs are always so hip and funky. She puts on a really good show with unique music and distinctly dressed models.

Friday night’s show is always at a featured venue and this year MFW chose a Memphis classic, Graceland in Elvis’ car museum.

After lunch a few of the bloggers went shopping in Overton Square at Crazy Beautiful and your’s truly, The Ivory Closet.
