After listening to Amanda Hill’s, of AM Photography and Memphis Bombshell’s Studios, reasons to try pinup, I had to give it a go. Amanda is a professional, Memphis portrait photographer. After quizzing her on her inspirations, I found out that she began her career photographing weddings in 2009 but is inspired by her love for the 1950’s and it’s classy style.
Based on her love for the era, she soon discovered her passion in photographing the art of pinup and boudoir. She wishes more women had the time to pamper themselves and feels her Pinup and Boudoir shoots are a way for a woman to do just that. Her passion inspired me, so I decided to give it a go! I was very nervous at first…I’m a makeup artist and stylist, not the one in front of the cameras! Amanda knew just how to pose and ensured me that, no matter body shape or personality, she is a professional at directing my every step. She made me feel super comfortable in my environment and in front of the camera.
In the end, my pinup photo shoot allowed me to celebrate, express, and embrace my femininity in a new and exciting way. By the way, what an awesome engagement or anniversary gift! This is an A+ service in my book!
