When it comes to fall outfits, there is no trend that’s stays consistent year to year! Since fall trends and styles change each time a new fall rolls around, I’ve rounded up the top 5 fall fashion trends for stylish moms and women on the go from one of my favorite local boutiques, Beautiful Soul Boutique! I’m sharing the trends I’m most excited for this autumn ranging from statement-making accessories to affordable faux pieces you’re bound to love.
Jean Jackets
This is a throwback trend that has come back to the forefront with a twist. Denim jackets of color are so popular this fall. Even adding little details like a distressed sleeve or fringe around the hem will allow a great denim jacket to spice up your outfit.
Faux Fur And Leather
Is there really anything better than must-have wardrobe pieces that look way more expensive than they truly are? That’s why I love anything faux fur and faux leather. Faux is definitely the go-to material this fall and winter and is a trend that’s here to stay! Though faux fur and leather have always been around, this material is much more prevalent now from tops, to tanks, to dresses, to paper bag pants – it’s everywhere!
Tie Dye
You might have recently seen this up and coming trend on a runway or two during Fashion week because it’s gaining so much traction! Tie dye is becoming the definition of street style. Whether it’s a neutral tie dyed sweater, a bleached tie dye jean jacket, a super cute tie dye midi dress, or a rainbow colored tie dye tee, you can’t go wrong with this fall fad. There are so many styles to sport!
Velvet
Though velvet has been around for the last couple years, it seems to be making a bigger appearance in fall 2020. I personally love this elegant and unique material and think it’s a fall season staple. Especially the jewel toned velvet pieces. There are so many style options when it comes to velvet, including jumpsuits, two pieces, co-ords, clutches, handbags, sneakers, boots, and more – the possibilities are endless. Not to mention velvet is predicted to be a year-round trend this upcoming year.
Off-the-Shoulder Sweaters

Classy Rain Boots
Say goodbye to over-the-knee boots and hello to upscale rain boots! This definitely has to be one of my very favorite trends for fall 2020 and is by far the biggest boot trend this year. The mid-calf and ankle rain boots are bigger than ever and designers are focusing more on these specific heights rather than the shin height boots.
Chunky Necklaces
Don’t forget to accessorize! That’s one trend that will never go out of style. I truly believe accessories can make or break an outfit. As you might have noticed recently, chunky gold chains are pretty much everywhere right now as fall’s biggest jewelry trend. Wear a chunky gold chain necklace with workwear like blazers and button-downs or wear them with your casual outfits like graphic tees and sweatshirts. The best part? Gold chains are so versatile so this trend pairs well with colors as well as it does neutrals!
