When you visit Sleepy Hollow in the fall (or any season), your itinerary might brim with historic tours, pumpkin displays, and spooky walks—but you’ll also want to eat well. Here’s a tighter look at six standout spots in and around Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown, from cozy pubs to elevated dining.
Boro6 Wine Bar
Cuisine & Feel
Boro6 is a wine-centric small-plates spot—intimate, cozy, and ideal for lingering over a glass (or several). It leans more toward light bites, charcuterie, cheese plates, and wine-pairing-friendly fare, but they do offer larger plates for those who are looking for more. It’s a great fit for evenings when you want to sip, nibble, and soak in ambiance.

Background & Notes
Boro6 is a known wine bar in the Sleepy Hollow / Tarrytown area and often recommended in local dining listings. Its niche is excellent for wine lovers or couples looking for something mellow, refined, and low-key. We started our experience with a hearty charcuterie board and wine to match.

What to Order
Start your dining with a glass of wine and charcuterie boards. They have several light shareable dishes that go well with wine such as Arancini Cacio e Pepe, rustic steak fries, and gourmet deviled eggs. The deviled eggs had a garlic twist that was absolutely divine!
If you are visiting for lunch, I must recommend the Lomo Con Queso sandwich. Quite honestly, this is the best sandwich I have ever had!
If you love seafood, the Fish Acqua Pazza is so delish. It comes with the market fish and mussels Under a savory white wine and olive oil sauce. I ordered the brussel sprouts with this meal and loved the fall flavor twist to this side with pumpkin seeds and wild flower honey. Check out the Boro6 menu here for a full list of their scrumptious fare.

MP Taverna
Cuisine & Feel
MP Taverna is the brainchild of chef Michael Psilakis, and it presents a contemporary spin on traditional Greek cuisine. Expect an elevated but approachable setting with dishes that celebrate Greek flavors—think olive oils, herbs, grilled meats, and seafood in bright, fresh preparations.
Background & Notes
Though MP Taverna is more commonly referenced in the Irvington / Westchester dining scene, it often draws visitors from all around the Hudson Valley looking for standout Greek cuisine. Its reputation helps elevate the region’s culinary offerings and gives folks visiting Sleepy Hollow (or staying nearby) a strong option for a special night out.

What to Order
Go for the grilled seafood, or hearty Greek-style entrees. The menu is designed for sharing, with bold flavors and a convivial feel. We loved the Lobster, Spinach, Artichoke dip and the Cavatelli Cacio s Pepe.
Goosefeather
Cuisine & Feel
Goosefeather brings an upscale, modern Cantonese and Asian-influenced menu to the Hudson Valley. Under Chef Dale Talde, the restaurant emphasizes innovation—using premium ingredients (like black truffles or dry-aged beef) in dishes rooted in classic Cantonese techniques.

Its setting is also special: Goosefeather is housed in the historic King Mansion (part of Tarrytown House Estate), set above the Hudson with multiple dining rooms, gardens, fire pits, and lounge spaces.
Background & Notes
Goosefeather is a newer concept from Food Crush Hospitality (Talde and his wife). Goosefeather The restaurant has been described as “destination-worthy,” mixing fine dining with unique design touches. Because of its proximity and prestige, it draws locals and visitors alike looking for a memorable culinary outing.

What to Order
Expect elegant dim sum, dumplings, house-made noodles, refined barbecued meats, and fusion interpretations that push Cantonese cuisine into modern territory. The tasting menus or chef’s specials are especially recommended. We started with the Dry Aged Beef Potstickers and the Crispy Shrimp Bao. Both were the perfect start to our culinary journey.
I could not get enough of the Wild mushroom Rice Noodles which paired nicely with the Smoked Chili Garlic Beef Brisket, Char Siu Berkshire Pork Belly, and the Black Pepper Beef. We also tried several cocktails, all which had unique fresh flavors that matched well with the gourmet dishes. Check out the Goosefeather menu.

Horsefeathers
Cuisine & Feel
Horsefeathers is a comfortable, unpretentious American / pub-style restaurant with an extensive menu—over 100 items on regular days. Their fare leans toward classic favorites: burgers, salads, sandwiches, hearty mains, and brunch offerings. The space evokes a cozy, nostalgic energy.
Background & Notes
Horsefeathers has been a regional staple since 1981, serving the Sleepy Hollow / Tarrytown area for decades. In 2018, longtime staffer Julia McCue became the owner, investing further in the local connection and the restaurant’s character. Horsefeathers embraces Sleepy Hollow’s Halloween and spooky season energy: McCue refers to the restaurant as “the Halloween restaurant in town,” and for many visitors it’s a must-stop given its atmospheric ties to the local legends.
What to Order
Try their signature burger (like the “Knickerbocker” with caramelized onion and cheddar), sandwiches, wings, hearty entrees, and weekend brunch specialties. Their sizable menu means there’s something for nearly every appetite. Be sure to enjoy the pumpkin beers and cocktails during spooky season!
Beekman Ale House
Cuisine & Feel
Beekman Ale House combines a bar-meets-pizza-parlor feel. Their menu is focused—think tavern-style pizzas, a modest selection of pub fare, and high-quality beer and cocktails. Their specialization gives the menu clarity and consistency.

Background & Notes
Owned by brothers Patrick and Luke Sheeran, their restaurant journey is a story in itself: despite having no prior kitchen experience, they grew up in the hospitality business under their father. They chose a space on Beekman Avenue (the former “Huddle”) for their concept. The pizzas are made daily using cold-fermented dough and a double-deck oven, and the beer selection is robust with around 20 taps mostly focused on regional craft brews.

What to Order
Their bar pies (12-inch) are the stars—thin crust, crisp but chewy, well baked. You’ll also find meatballs, garlic knots, wings (Buffalo, BBQ, Nashville hot), salads, and a compact but strong cocktail and beer menu. Brunch is also offered (with creative pizza options like the “SEC” or “BEC”).
