I have recently taken up golf and while the game is fun, the womens golf fashion is even more exciting for a girl who likes to look cute while on the course. In this post, I am sharing my new fall ladies golf gear.
What to Wear Golfing
Ladies Golf Gear | Jewel Toned Green
This fall we are seeing jewel toned greens everywhere and in the ladies golf clothing sector, it’s no different. I am loving the green selection in the adidas ladies golf gear.
First up we have the adidas Tour Twist Knit Polo. I love how this top looks like a traditional golf polo from the front, but has a cute twist knot on the back which can be tightened to make it more fitted. I paired it with the adidas Solid White Golf Skort.

Another take on the jewel toned green look is to flip the script and go for a green golf skort instead. For my second look, I chose an adidas Tour Green Pleated Skort and a Black adidas Sleeveless Polo Golf Top. I am a HUGE fan of black and really love how this black top pops the jewel tone green in my skirt even more!

Monotone Ladies Golf Clothing
Did I say I love black? Everyone knows that there is nothing classier than a crispy black and white look and with this next look, I feel like I understood the assignment. Don’t mind my sassiness. With this look, I went with an adidas Black Swing skirt and an adidas White Polo Top. If you have played golf, you know it not only gets hot but the sun can do some serious damage to your skin. That’s why it’s important to keep a hat in your bag. I really like the White and Black adidas Logo hat, as it matches perfectly with all of my looks.

Ladies Golf Gear | Dress Edition
Most ladies opt for shorts or a skirt when playing golf but I think a dress is super cute if you can find one that is comfortable and allows you to move. I found this super cute cream golf dress at Target and I have been living in it on and off the course. Going with the jewel toned green trend, I paired this look with a double knit, super soft green zip up hoodie from Target.

Shop the Look
Tips to consider when shopping for ladies golf attire:
Stick to Golf-Appropriate Apparel
Opt for polo shirts, golf skirts, or skorts, and golf pants or shorts. These are not only stylish but also meet most golf courses’ dress codes. Avoid denim, leggings, or overly casual attire like T-shirts.
Comfort is Key
Choose clothing made from breathable, moisture-wicking fabrics. Golf requires a lot of movement, so your outfit should allow you to swing freely and stay cool, especially in warm weather. In the colder months, I like to bring some womens hoodies so that I can stay warm and comfortable while perfecting my swing.
Pay Attention to Fit
Your golf attire should be well-fitted but not too tight. Golf clothes are often tailored to allow a full range of motion, so make sure your clothes are neither too loose nor too restrictive. I also recommend trying sports bras for undergarments as they are easier to move around and swing in.
Footwear Matters
Invest in a good pair of golf shoes with spikes or spikeless soles for grip. They provide the stability and support needed during your swing. Pair them with moisture-wicking socks for comfort.
Don’t Forget Accessories
A stylish cap or visor can protect you from the sun, and a golf glove can improve your grip on the club. Additionally, consider a lightweight jacket or sweater for cooler weather that can easily be removed.

What Do Women Wear To Golf
Golf style has evolved into the perfect blend of polished, sporty, and effortlessly chic—making it just as fun to dress for as it is to play (or watch). Whether you’re heading to the course yourself or attending a tournament, the key is striking that balance between comfort, functionality, and elevated style.
Keep It Classic with a Modern Twist
When it comes to what women wear to golf, think tailored and refined. A fitted polo or sleeveless performance top paired with a structured golf skirt, skort, or tailored shorts is always a go-to. If you prefer pants, opt for ankle-length golf trousers or sleek leggings designed with performance fabric.
The overall vibe? Clean lines, breathable materials, and a silhouette that feels put-together without trying too hard.
Choose Performance Fabrics That Move With You
Whether you’re playing or walking the course, comfort is everything. Look for moisture-wicking, stretch-friendly fabrics that keep you cool and allow you to move freely. These pieces are designed to support your swing while still looking elevated and stylish.
Layer Like a Pro
Golf mornings can start cool and warm up quickly, so layering is key. A lightweight zip-up, quarter-zip pullover, or chic sweater can easily be added or removed throughout the day. Stick to neutral tones or soft pastels for a timeless, sophisticated look.
Don’t Forget Golf-Appropriate Footwear
Shoes can make or break your outfit—and your game.
- For playing: Choose golf shoes with proper grip and support. Many modern styles are sleek, stylish, and look similar to sneakers while still offering functionality.
- For watching: Fashion sneakers, ballet flats, or comfortable sandals (depending on the event) work well, as long as you’ll be comfortable walking for extended periods.
Accessories That Elevate the Look
Accessories are where you can really personalize your golf outfit. A structured visor or baseball cap adds both style and sun protection, while a chic belt can define your waist and pull your outfit together. Sunglasses are a must, and a simple tote or crossbody bag keeps things practical yet polished.
Dress Code Matters
Many golf courses have dress codes, so it’s important to keep things appropriate. Avoid overly short hemlines, denim, or overly casual pieces like tank tops unless they’re specifically designed for golf. When in doubt, lean classic and slightly preppy, it always works on the course.
For Watching Golf: Elevated Casual
If you’re attending a tournament, think “sporty chic.” A breezy dress, a polished skort set, or a relaxed polo with tailored shorts creates a look that feels effortless but intentional. Comfortable shoes are key since you’ll likely be walking and standing throughout the day.
Pro Tip: Golf style is all about understated confidence. Stick to clean silhouettes, neutral or soft color palettes, and elevated basics—and you’ll always look perfectly on par (pun intended).

What Shoes To Wear Golfing
Choosing the right shoes for golf is just as important as your outfit. The right pair not only completes your golfing outfit, but also supports your stability, comfort, and range of motion during your swing. When you’re walking the course for hours, staying comfortable is key, so investing in proper golf shoes makes all the difference.
Spikeless Golf Shoes
If you love a more modern, versatile look, spikeless golf shoes are a favorite. They resemble stylish sneakers but still offer enough traction for most courses. They’re perfect for casual rounds or if you plan to go from the course straight to lunch without changing.
Soft Spike Golf Shoes
Soft spike golf shoes are one of the most popular options for women. Designed with flexible traction points (also known as soft spikes), they provide excellent grip without damaging the greens. They strike the perfect balance between performance and comfort.
Spiked Golf Shoes
For maximum stability—especially on uneven or wet terrain, spiked golf shoes are your go-to. These offer the most traction and are ideal if you’re serious about your game and want full control during your swing.
Golf Sandals (For Casual Play or Watching)
In more relaxed settings or warmer climates, golf sandals can be a chic and breathable option. While not ideal for performance, they’re great for spectating or very casual rounds where comfort and style take priority.
What Hand To Wear Golf Glove?
This is one of the most common questions—and it’s actually very simple once you understand the basics.
Wear Your Glove on Your Non-Dominant Hand
If you’re right-handed, you’ll wear your glove on your left hand. If you’re left-handed, you’ll wear it on your right. This is because your non-dominant hand plays a key role in controlling the club and maintaining grip throughout your swing.
Choose Breathable, Flexible Materials
Look for gloves made with soft leather or performance fabrics that allow flexibility while still providing grip. Breathability is key, especially during warmer rounds.
Ensure a Snug (But Comfortable) Fit
Your glove should feel like a second skin—snug without being restrictive. A proper fit helps improve control and prevents slipping, especially during longer games.
Keep a Backup Glove
If you’re playing in heat or humidity, having an extra glove is a game-changer. Moisture can affect grip, so switching gloves helps maintain performance and comfort.
New Styling Tips & Outfit Ideas for Golf
Golf style continues to evolve, and there are so many chic ways to elevate your look while still respecting the course dress code.
Elevated Monochrome Sets
Matching sets are having a moment—and they translate beautifully to golf. Think a coordinated top and skort in soft neutrals or muted tones. It creates a sleek, elongating effect that looks effortlessly put together.
The Modern Collared Look
A collared shirt is a staple in golf fashion, but today’s styles feel more elevated than ever. Try fitted silhouettes, sleeveless cuts, or subtle textures for a fresh take on classic golf shirts.
Sporty Dresses That Do It All
Golf dresses are one of the easiest ways to look chic with minimal effort. Look for styles with built-in shorts, breathable fabric, and clean lines for a one-and-done outfit that feels both feminine and functional.
Statement Accessories with Purpose
Accessories are no longer just functional—they’re part of the look. Wide brim hats are not only on-trend, but they also provide essential sun protection. Pair with oversized sunglasses for a polished, elevated finish.
Layered Athleisure Vibes
Lightweight layers like cropped pullovers, zip-ups, or vests add dimension to your outfit while keeping you comfortable as temperatures shift throughout the day.
Tailored Meets Relaxed
Mix structured pieces (like tailored shorts or skorts) with softer, relaxed tops to create balance. This combination feels modern, effortless, and perfectly suited for both playing and socializing after your round.
Pro Tip: The best golf looks are the ones that blend performance with personal style. When your outfit supports your movement, keeps you comfortable, and reflects your aesthetic, you naturally show up with more confidence—on and off the course.
