I have to admit, I haven’t heard of this concept before but I kind of like it! Who doesn’t like to be spoiled by their lover? After searching for some fun Valentine’s gift ideas, i kept coming across this 7 Days of Valentines concept. Finally, I decided to dive in a little deeper, get the scoop, and of course, share with you all!

What is the 7 Days of Valetines?
“7 Days of Valentines” typically refers to a romantic gesture where someone plans or receives a series of small, thoughtful surprises or gifts for each day leading up to Valentine’s Day, from February 7th – February 14th. Each day is dedicated to a specific theme or type of gift, and the goal is to express love and affection in different ways throughout the week.
While the specifics can vary, here’s an example of a traditional 7 Days of Valentines breakdown:
- Rose Day (Day 1): The first day often involves giving or receiving roses, which symbolize love and passion.
- Propose Day (Day 2): This day may involve expressing romantic feelings and proposing, either formally or in a more casual manner. (If you on’t plan on proposing, I have another suggestion below) If you’re considering a proposal on Propose Day, it’s important to know how to choose an engagement ring that perfectly reflects your partner’s style and personality. Taking the time to find the right ring can make the moment even more memorable and meaningful.
- Chocolate Day (Day 3): Chocolate is a classic symbol of love, and on this day, people often exchange chocolates or sweet treats.
- Teddy Day (Day 4): Soft and cuddly teddy bears are often gifted on this day to represent warmth and affection.
- Promise Day (Day 5): This day may involve making promises to each other, whether they’re related to the relationship or personal goals.
- Hug Day (Day 6): Physical touch is emphasized on this day, and couples often exchange warm hugs to express their love.
- Kiss Day (Day 7): The week culminates in a celebration of intimacy, with kisses symbolizing the deep connection between partners.
It’s important to note that these themes and gestures are not set in stone, and individuals may customize the “7 Days of Valentines” based on their preferences and the dynamics of their relationship. The main idea is to make the lead-up to Valentine’s Day special and memorable through thoughtful and romantic gestures.
Gift Ideas for the 7 Days of Valentines
Roses & Floral Arrangements

I love a beautiful bouquet of a dozen roses myself, but what is even more special is a local floral arrangement that includes both roses and a seasonal array. Memphis florist, Mili’s Floral and Gift Shop in Midtown Memphis is a local Latina, female owned business. Miriam Cordero, the incredible owner, is passionate about flowers and is committed to creating unique and breathtaking arrangements for every customer. I love her exclusive Valentine’s floral arrangement for 2024, (Image below) which includes an assortment of roses, lilies, and fun dried palm leaves.

Adult Valentines Cards
Ok, so I know Propose Day isn’t super fitting for those that are married or who may not plan on getting married, so might I suggest a romantic adult Valentine’s card if you do not plan on proposing? Actually, even if you plan on proposing, a handmade Valentine’s card just puts the cherry on top. If you an are a little concerned with your abilities to make a card yourself, no worries, I love Etsy’s Valentine’s Card Kits when I opt for a DIY Valentine. Adult Valentines card you may ask? Well, Valentine’s Day IS the day of all things love, so in my cards, I write two messages, one that is very heartfelt and full of love, and another that is super sexy and full of lust, hence, the Adult Valentines Card. I also love the idea of a love letter jar with mixed messages of love and lust for your husband, wife, or partner.

Chocolate Day & Teddy Day
For teddy day, I recommend a Build-A-Bear with a personalized message sewn inside. That way, when your Valentine squeezes the bear paw, they can hear your special message whenever they want. As for chocolate, you should spread the love by choosing a local chocolatier. Memphis chocolatier, Dinstuhl’s Fine Candy, have a seasonal chocolate covered strawberry that is only dipped February 12-14th using their exclusive recipe and dipping method. Dinstuhl’s takes the freshest seasonal strawberries and dips them in a special sugar fondant, then covers them in their delicious milk chocolate. Their strawberries have been shown on Food Network’s Food Finds, they are an absolute MUST to experience. Oh, and if your Valentine would prefer chocolate over a stuffed teddy bear, Dinstuhl’s makes a chocolate teddy just for Valentine’s Day!

Promise Day
Like the love note jar, a promise jar is equally heartfelt. You can write 52 promises, one for each week of the year so that your Valentine can pull a promise every Monday to set the tone for the week. It also helps you to stay accountable throughout the year which totally helps to strengthen, or keep a relationship going strong.
Hug & Kiss Day
These days are the grand finale! I recommend a staycation at your local historic or boutique hotel! For us in Memphis, that would be The Peabody Hotel! We love to arrive at The Peabody on hug day and enjoy a lovely afternoon in Feather’s Spa with a couples massage and fun conversations in the dry sauna. Then, we have an exquisite dinner at Chez Philippe with Chef Keith and his crew. When I say this is the most extravagant Restaurant in Memphis, you will not understand what I mean until you try for yourself. After dinner, we enjoy live music and cocktails in the grand lobby before heading to our suite to end the night with chocolate strawberries, champagne, and snuggles.
