Side Dishes for Christmas Dinner

I don’t know about you, but my family appreciates and anticipates the holiday every year. It’s where we gather, reminisce, and feast! Christmas is about more than just food, but food brings us all together to celebrate. Though the meat might take up the biggest spot on the Christmas table, the side dishes are really what steal the show. So today I’m sharing 3 amazing and delicious side dishes to bring with you to any family Christmas meal.

SMOTHERED GREEN BEANS

Introducing your not-so-ordinary green beans that are coated with flavor and deliciousness. If you’re looking for a different way to serve green beans this Christmas, this is about to be your go-to recipe that is worthy of serving your best guests. These call for tomato paste and chicken broth to create a yummy coating. Smother the green beans while shallots and a bacon topping create a salty-sweet taste that will ensure everyone enjoys their veggies. Find the recipe HERE!

Of course the meat is always delish and we like to go with an air fried turkey for Thanksgiving and a honey ham for Christmas, but my favorite side dish that gives a little sample of desert before the dinner is finished are the sweet potatoes!

SWEET POTATO MASH WITH SPECIAL TOPPINGS

Who doesn’t love a classic sweet potato casserole topped with all the good stuff? This one was way too yum to pass up and seemed a bit more unique thanks to the toppings – cornflakes?! Yes please! Also, you can never put too many marshmallows when it’s Christmas, so go all out! I can’t be the only one. Find the recipe HERE!

LOADED CAULIFLOWER CASSEROLE

Okay, correct me if I’m wrong, but you have to have at least one casserole at the Christmas table! It’s a must. What if I told you that all casseroles don’t have to be completely unhealthy? The best part is that this is a veggie-packed casserole, however, it can be loaded with all the good stuff including cream cheese, sour cream, two different cheeses, and bacon. Find the recipe HERE!

Now all you have to do is get your table set and fill the chairs with your loved ones for a memorable Christmas dinner!
