Recently Mr. Greg and I spent a Sunday afternoon date day trying some local spots to satisfy our sweet tooth and after trying these three spots, we have decided that they make the top 3 list for best dessert spots in Memphis!
Poppz Drinks
I have to admit, when I think desserts, my mind usually wanders towards cakes, shakes, and cookies, but Poppz Memphis, located in Carriage Crossin, covers sweets in the drink category! If you are looking to satisfy that sweet tooth but don’t want to go heavy, pop into Poppz and get yourself a refreshing drink. When Mr. Greg and I visited, we decided to narrow our selection down to 3 drinks. (Yes, there were only two of us but everything on the menu sounded so yummy, it was hard to choose from!) We tried the Romeo (Dr. Pepper and Coconut-y Vanilla), Juliet (Lavender Lemonade), and Annabella (Hibiscus Lemonade.) The perfect start to our Sunday of sweets tour.

Belly Acres
Belly Acres is primarily known for their 100% grass fed beef burgers, hand breaded free range chicken tenders, and gigantic fresh homemade veggie salads, all definitely dishes to write home about. But, an after dinner delight, and must have treat, is the Belly Acre Oreo Milkshake. This over the top delicious Oreo milkshake, topped with cookie crumbles and whole Oreos is the perfect date night dessert.

Milk Dessert Bar
This family owned and operated dessert hot spot makes all of their goodies fresh from scratch! From cakes, cheesecakes, and cookie cakes, to over the top milkshakes, this cute little dessert bar has it all! When we popped in, Mr. Greg and I enjoyed their Latte Cake, which was their dessert of the month, down to the very last crumb. Also, if you are looking for a great party spot, you can rent out Milk Dessert Bar for birthday parties!
