Woo Hoo! Summer is here and it is time for beach vacations and sunny adventures. Of course, we all want to look our best while making beautiful summer memories and that is why I am sharing which foundation is best for summer as well as my other favorite makeup finds.
Which Foundation is Best for Summer?
I have completely fallen in love with Elta MD UV Daily Tinted Broad Spectrum SPF. I love how this lightweight tinted moisturizer gives a dewy and radiant look while also protecting my skin from harmful UV rays. Elta MD also offers a waterproof option in their Elta MD UV Elements formula, both of which can be found at A Beautiful You Medical Spa.
- Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide provide gentle, chemical-free sun protection
- Hyaluronic acid quenches dry skin and visibly minimizes the appearance of fine lines
- Antioxidant protection combats skin-aging free radicals
- Noncomedogenic and water-resistant for up to 40 minutes
My Favorite Makeup Products
NARS Radiant Concealer
I am always looking for a concealer that is not too heavy but provides the right amount of coverage without being too drying. The NARS Radiant concealer comes in over 15 colors! That means there is the perfect shade for everyone. I tend to like a lighter concealer with a peach undertone as I have darker circles under my eyes and the peach, when applied on top of my Elta MD tinted moisturizer, hides the darkness.
Ulta Bronzers and Highlighters
For sculpting and contouring I love Ulta’s brand Matte bronzer in cool and finishing powder in banana. When looking for a contour color, I try to find something that will bot be too dark and even more importantly, not too orange. This product is used to make the cheekbones look higher and not necessarily to bronze so your color choice will be different than if you were going to use a bronzer. Ulta also has a banana colored finishing powder as a highlighter. It is a matte finish with no shimmer for a more natural look.
Benefit Dallas Blush
I have tried so many different types of blushes and I always go back to Benefit’s Dallas Blush. It is a great dusty rose color with the perfect amount of shimmer for added glow but to still remain natural. Not to mention, there is SO MUCH BLUSH in this one little package. One package of Dallas Blush will last an entire year!
elf New Classic Eyeshadow Palette
I have been loving berry tones, neutral peach tones, and matte fawn and golden tones. This neutral elf Classic Shadow Palette has it all! I can create at least 10 different shadow looks that all fall into one of these categories. Natural hues for the day and added pops of color for the evenings out.
elf Lock on Liner and Brow Gel
I have always been a fan for potted gel liner as it seems to stay all day, even when you are outside sweating or in the elements, such water. The elf Lock On Liner stays all day and looks so elegant. Black is pretty harsh on my eyes so I choose the brown or espresso color for my eye liner and will even brush a little bit on my brows for added shape.
elf 3 in 1 Mascara
The elf 3 in 1 Mascara adds volume and length to my short and, not so glamorous, lashes. The best part, it is less than $7! WHAT? I tend to get mascara everywhere if the brush is too large and too thick. This mascara wand is so perfect for precision application without the mess.
Essence Stay Waterproof Lipliner
The Essence Stay 8 hour waterproof lipliner truly wears all day long and is wonderful for shading to make a fuller looking lip. I use the “Because Duh” liner and paired with the perfect lipstick will create a beautiful nude look. This liner can be found at Ulta and is only $2.99.
Becca Bare Lipstick
The Becca Bare Lipstick matches so perfectly with the “Because Duh” liner. This lipstick formula is so creamy and hydrating.
