Another Orlando trip down in the books and I feel like an expert at this point after several trips! I have been with and without kids, single and married, and in this post, I can’t wait to share the perfect itinerary for being married with children. The best way to go! For those of you traveling with kids, we have officially figured out the perfect to-do list for families headed to Orlando for 4 days.
Accommodations
Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites – Waterpark
Wondering, “Where can I take your small kids in Orlando?” Our family had an amazing time at the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites– Waterpark. We were so surprised at how many fun activities the resort had planned during our stay! From bingo, pool side dance parties, and trivia, to nighttime visits to the Marketplace where we played in the arcade and enjoyed ice cream, there was something for everyone. My husband and I really appreciated the kids breakfast and dinner program where our boys ate free as long as my husband and I purchased a plate. Unlike many buffet style restaurants, Lakeside Cafe offered daily breakfast and dinner menus so that we had a variety of different food options to choose from daily.

This Holiday Inn Resort is a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel and the only all-suite Holiday Inn Resort at the entrance to the Walt Disney World Resort. The resort is near many of the popular attractions including Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando and the International Drive entertainment district making it easier to enjoy all that Orlando has to offer.

The suites were very spacious, comfortable and easily fit our family of five.
Hotel Amenities to Enjoy:
- Lagoon Pool and Waterpark
- Complimentary shuttle service to the Walt Disney World Resort
- 9 hole mini golf course
- Arcade
- Kids Splash Pad
- Fitness Center
- Outdoor basketball courts
- Kids playground
- Family Movie Night

The resort also offers great dining options such as Lakeside Cafe, Burger Theory, Sombrero’s Cantina, Hershey’s Ice Cream Shop, Antonio’s Pizzeria, Lunchbox Deli Subs, Essentials Market and the Lagoon Poolside Bar.
Travel
Spirit Airlines
Planning a trip for the entire family that includes air travel can be pretty costly, that’s one of the reasons we were initially drawn to Spirit airlines. Spirit now offers two, affordable, non-stop routes out of Memphis. We were thrilled to know that one of those routes was to Orlando!
This trip was our very first time to fly Spirit Airlines and we were so pleased with the experience! The boys enjoyed a fun-filled snack box during the trip. I say “fun-filled” not because of the tasty snacks, but because the box doubled as an activity. Jack made a Spirit Postcard out of his box to give to his teacher. James and Ransom played the I Spy activity on the front of the box. As a parent, I thought the snack/activity box was a great idea for keeping my boys occupied. During the flight, the stewardess hosted a trivia challenge for the kiddos and awarded them with 1000 Spirit Airlines points!
They also stocked the plane with goodies for the adults as well. I relaxed with a glass of wine while signing in to the wi-fi and researching Las Vegas trips, since Spirit offers a non-stop flight out of Memphis to Vegas as well! Flying with Spirit was so much fun! Our 2 hours flights felt like 30 minutes. We will definitely be flying with Spirit again. Perhaps for a mommy/daddy getaway to Vegas?!

Mazda CX-50
I usually do not recommend a specific car for vacationing, but we loved the Mazda CX-50 that we used during our vacation so much, that I had to mention it. This compact SUV was perfect for my family of five as it was comfortable and spacious enough to fit the entire family and our luggage!

Restaurants
Medieval Times
Are you asking yourself, “What is there to do in Orlando today for families?” We were so honored to travel through the mists of time to a festive celebration in honor of the Queen. We enjoyed a show of gallant knights, majestic horses, and royal games. That wasn’t the only indicator that we had traveled back to the medieval era, we even ate era inspired food with our hands! The show was top notch and fit for the entire family, and the food delicious. If you are looking for evening entertainment, visit the castle at Medieval Times.

Cafe Tu Tu Tango
I have never experienced a restaurant quite like Cafe Tu Tu Tango. Not only are the gourmet food and drinks absolutely unique and tasty, but you can enjoy live art demonstrations, get a tarot card reading, and enjoy live entertainment. so many exciting activities to partake in while enjoying dinner. This is an experience you do not want to miss!

Pirates Dinner Adventure
Where is there the best place to take kids on Florida? My entire family LOVE pirates. Want to know a little secret? I named my first born after a pirate. Also, when I met Mr. Greg, he had a pirate flag flying on his front porch. I knew we were meant to be. That’s why we never visit Orlando without seeing the Pirate Dinner Show. The Pirate Dinner show does a great job of being entertaining to the entire family. They have adult jokes and drinks, parts of the show where the kids can interact, and even a pirate dance party after the show! If you want a dinner show that is interactive and super fun, dine with the Pirates!
